"And shortly after that they looked into a room that was quite empty except for one big wardrobe; the sort that has a looking glass in the door. There was nothing else in the room at all except a dead blue-bottle on the window-sill. "Nothing there!" Peter said, and they all trooped out again- all except Lucy."
Ah, Lucy. Thanks for that
My parents knew I was running out of pages in my sketchbook. So, being the wonderful people they are, they decided to get me a new one. They picked up a "dry media" book for me which rocked because I had just started trying out charcoals (I have NO idea why it took me so long to do that), and the paper just seemed to love them that much more than the lighter stuff.
This is the first thing I put in it (and man, the version on the computer is just not the same *sigh*). Reference used is obvious if you've watched the 'new' version of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe as much as I have (or my niece, who recognized it immediately, and was quite thrilled ), or if you just pay attention to that stuff the first time around.
I've never done something like this before, and it came out surprisingly well O_o
... I really need to draw more, it always feels so good.
I had to do quite a bit of tweaking to try to bring it back to life after scanning, and I think the border really helped (thanks for showing me that btw).
this looks just like the scene from the movie. everything is so perfectly laid out. i love the wood detail in the room and focus on the wardrobe, great work!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
